A string quartet from the American Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, William Grant Still and Antonin Dvorak.

Together, these works explore the evolving identity of American music at the crossroads of culture, history and innovation.

The American Symphony Orchestra is a New York-based orchestra under the direction of Leon Botstein with a mission to create thematic concerts that explore music from the perspective of the visual arts, literature, religion, and history, and reviving rarely-performed works that audiences would otherwise never have a chance to hear performed live.
