Kristina Kossi began painting classes at the Art Students League of New York in 1992, but was soon drawn to sculpting. She still works there as well as in her Litchfield, CT studio. Her award-winning work has been widely exhibited including a recent live sculpting demonstration at the Museum of Modern Art. As a child, Kristina grew up under the limelight with her parents being European adagio stars on ice. While touring with them she performed in their shows and later on in her own shows. Her years of professional ice skating and dancing inspired her to seek out elegant lines and beauty in her sculpting.
