Dynamics features the work of internationally known artist Robert Giusti that concentrates on the exploration of both metaphysical and perceptual truth.
Of the exhibition, Mr. Giusti says “while I am motivated by cubist futurist and constructivist art, play off of movement, color and form are the key to my paintings. Thus, dynamics becomes the theme of these recent paintings created between 2016 and the present. This show is a total departure from the illustration that I am well known for. Dynamics will take you back to my first love of art and painting which began in the 1960’s and continued through the years. These are my newest pieces.”
Much of Mr. Giusti’s illustration work is immediately recognizable to the public: he has produced stamps for the United State Postal Service, editorial illustrations, book and album cover designs and movie posters. Numerous publications, including Graphis, Print, 200 Years of American Illustration and The New York Times have featured Giusti’s art. Major television networks and tourist sites, including the Cincinnati Zoo and the New England Aquarium are on the long list of clients who have commissioned his award-winning work. Well-known publishers such as Random House and Doubleday have commissioned Giusti to provide book jacket designs. His art is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution and he has won numerous prizes, including gold and silver awards from the Society of Illustrators in New York.
The reception is open to the public and offers visitors an opportunity to meet the artist while viewing the exhibit.
