“ I really enjoyed Unbroken because of Louie’s perseverance. Louise turned his life around and became an Olympic track star. After he joined the airforce during WWII, his plane crashed and he was stranded on a life raft for 47 days with two other men. If that wasn’t enough, he was captured by the japanese and sent to POW prison camp where an officer beat him constantly. Louie never gave up hope that he would go home and his constant optimism was an inspiration.”
“Beautifully written, masterfully plotted. Narrated by a man about an episode from his childhood and his devotion to an autistic brother. Religion v. anti-religion, but it seems the real victor is humanity. A real mystery that leaves you wondering.”
“Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King was a very good book. The description King used stood out from anything else. It was an excellent race-against-the-clock-type of thriller. Only seconds could be enough to save you and those around you…”
“An engrossing police procedural – very up to date – about a missing young Cambridge student from an influential family. The chapters are short, written from the point of view from a few characters… Complicated plot with very intertwined characters. Touching!”
“Excellent book. Captures all the things family are to each other. Excellent story and characters! Fast moving, great storytelling.”
“Hilarious and also very disturbing. Great beach read. I couldn’t put it down!”
“Classic Christie. I forgot how good she was. Excellent character development.”
